Business monitoring for lenders
A clean report on the day you fund doesn't stay clean. Entitylight re-checks every business you watch on your schedule and alerts you to new UCC filings, new lawsuits and changes to its state record.
- Checks as often as daily, or up to every 30 days
- New UCC filings, new lawsuits and state record changes
- Email alerts and webhooks to your own system
Sample data. Business and party names are made up.
What each check looks for
- New UCC filings
- Filings against the business that weren't there before, with the secured party named on each.
- New lawsuits
- Cases filed against the business in Miami-Dade County, Broward County and New York State courts, with the plaintiffs and the court.
- Status changes
- The state status moving, such as from active to inactive, and the date the state marks the business inactive.
- Record changes
- A new legal name, registered agent, address or officer, and new filings with the state.
How monitoring works
- 1
Watch a business
Start from a finished report, which becomes the starting point at no extra cost, or watch a business by name and state.
- 2
Set the schedule
Choose how often to check, from daily to every 30 days, and add an end date if you only need to watch for a set term.
- 3
Act on what's new
When a check finds a change, your account owners and admins get an email, the watchlist shows what changed, and your system gets a webhook.
Monitoring through the API
Start a watch with one API request, from a finished lookup or by business name and state, and change its schedule or end date later. After every check, a webhook delivers what changed to your own system.
What monitoring uses from your plan
Each check uses one lookup, so a business checked weekly uses four or five a month. A free account can watch 5 businesses, and paid plans watch from 100 to 2,000.
If your plan runs out of lookups, checks pause and pick up again once lookups are available. See pricing for each plan.
Questions about business monitoring
How often can a business be checked?
As often as every day, or on any schedule up to every 30 days. You can change the schedule or add an end date at any time.
Will I get an email when nothing has changed?
No. Emails go out only when a check finds something new. Through the API, a webhook is sent after every check, so your system can record that the business was checked.
Which courts are checked for new lawsuits?
Miami-Dade County, Broward County and New York State courts. A lawsuit filed in any other court won't trigger an alert.
What happens when a source is unavailable?
The report marks that source as unavailable instead of showing an empty result, so a missing record is never mistaken for a clean one. Lookups where no source could be searched aren't charged.
How much does a lookup cost?
Your first 20 lookups are free. Paid plans start at $299 a month for 400 lookups, and every plan includes full reports, monitoring and the API.
