Terms of Service
Last updated October 27, 2026
These terms apply when you use Entitylight's website, app and API. By creating an account or using Entitylight, you agree to them on behalf of your company. "We" and "us" mean LendPipe, which makes Entitylight.
1. The service
Entitylight searches public business registries, UCC filing offices, court records and sanctions lists, combines what it finds into reports, and can check businesses you watch for changes. You can use it in the app or through the API.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 and use Entitylight on behalf of a business. The information you give us when you sign up must be accurate.
You're responsible for everything done through your account and your API keys. Keep your sign-in codes and API keys private, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used them.
3. Not a consumer report
Entitylight reports are about businesses. Entitylight is not a consumer reporting agency, and its reports are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws.
You may not use Entitylight, in whole or in part, to decide whether an individual is eligible for personal credit, insurance, employment, housing or any other purpose covered by those laws.
4. How you may use Entitylight
You may use Entitylight and its reports for your own lawful business purposes, such as reviewing and monitoring the businesses you work with, and share reports with your advisers and partners in the normal course of that work. You may not:
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute Entitylight's data as a product of its own, or use it to build a competing service or database
- Use it to harass, stalk or discriminate against anyone, or in any way that breaks the law
- Scrape, overload or interfere with the service, get around usage limits, or try to access accounts or systems that aren't yours
- Copy, reverse engineer or resell the software itself
5. Public record data
Reports show what public sources published at the time of the search, with names as filed. Those sources can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and they are sometimes unavailable. Each report shows which sources were searched.
Entitylight is one input to your decisions, not a substitute for your own judgment. Confirm anything important with the original source before you rely on it.
6. Plans and payment
Each plan includes a number of lookups. A lookup counts toward your plan when it runs, and each check of a watched business counts as a lookup. Your usage page shows every lookup and whether it was charged.
If you buy a paid plan, its price, allowance and billing period are shown before you pay. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice.
7. Your information
You own the information you put into Entitylight. You give us permission to use it to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using Entitylight and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or others at risk, or goes unpaid. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
9. Disclaimers
Entitylight is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any source will be available or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business, including losses from decisions made using reports. Our total liability for any claim relating to Entitylight is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your use of Entitylight in breach of these terms or the law, including any use of reports to make decisions about individuals.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll email account owners before they take effect. If you keep using Entitylight after that, the updated terms apply.
13. Contact
Entitylight is a product of LendPipe. Questions about these terms can go to support@entitylight.com.
